Cement is a compound material
produced using sand, rock and concrete. The concrete is a blend of different
minerals which when blended with water, hydrate and quickly turn out to be hard
restricting the sand and rock into a strong mass. The most established known
surviving cement is to be found in the previous Yugoslavia and was thought to
have been laid in 5,600 BC utilizing red lime as the concrete.
The main significant solid clients
were the Egyptians in around 2,500 BC and the Romans from 300 BC The Romans
found that by blending a pink sand-like material which they acquired from
Pozzuoli with their typical lime-based cements they got a far more grounded
material.
